DIY Wrapping Paper/Tissue Paper

Hey friends! I had a lot of fun making this #tuesdaytutorial and I'm eager to share it with you. I already purchased packing paper to help pack up our house, and I decided to use the same paper to wrap my sister's birthday present. I think it works well as sturdy tissue paper, too.

Let's get started!

First, gather your supplies.

- packing paper (I found this greige kind at Walmart.)

- tape

-scissors

- sharpie or fine-tipped marker

- stamp of your choice

- ink pad for stamp

- ribbon, yarn or string for bows

- any other decorative accents (I added leaves, a mini clothespin, and used a bookmark to make a mini card to attach to the top.)

Second, use your stamp to create a design on the paper. I applied the stamp randomly. Depending on the type of stamp, you could create patterns or designs that are unique and appealing to the eye.

Third, add text with your marker. I added "happy birthday" since it was a birthday gift. This part could especially make your paper unique. Add inside jokes or quotes that you share with the recipient, personalize the paper, and more.

Add details. You can tell from the pic that my leaves are fake. Every living plant around me was dead at the time, but depending on the time of year, you could possible add some live greenery or plant touches that could take the gift to the next level.

Finally, attach your card and send the gift to the recipient! I would love to try this DIY again as tissue paper. (And hey, maybe I helped you put together a last-minute or late Valentine's gift! I hope you enjoyed it!)
